As we get ready to enjoy the long weekend and commemorates all men and women who have died in military service for the United States, I want to thank all of our coaches and team managers for all your time you have provided to making this a great lacrosse season for the kids. We have a number of players from the girls and boys teams playing in the North-South game this weekend and I hope they all have a great time.
Coaches also remember, if you have any make-up games to be played, all games need to be completed by June 3rd. Any game after that will not be viewed as a official game in the standings or used in the NHYLA Festival brackets.
Enjoy the remainder of the regular season, the NHYLA Festival will be again June 9-10. All games will be playedin one location this year on the Soughegan High School Fields. We will need a number of volunteers, so please make sure you get your families to sign up as this is a important event for the club as a fundraiser and promoting this great game of lacrosse in our community.
Thank you again for all your hard work and dedication to these great kids you coach and making it fun!

SVL Board Member Recruitment for 2019 Spring Season
To our Souhegan Valley Lacrosse Club community:
The spring lacrosse season is not over, but every year we have expected turn-over in board positions due to board members children aging out of the program. So we are recruiting now for the 2019 spring season.
Our SVL Board plays a critical role in guiding the overall direction and philosophy of the youth lacrosse program in the Souhegan Valley area. We anticipate the need to fill several Board positions in order to ensure continuity of the SVL youth lacrosse program, and to bring fresh ideas and new energy to the Board.
If you would like to have a positive impact on youth sports and in the lives of children in our community, please consider joining the SVL Board for the 2019 Spring season. (Board Members start meeting monthly first monday of the month in September) Previous lacrosse or Board experience is not required! If interested, you will receive support and guidance from the Board to assist you during the transition.

Sua Sponte comes from the Latin term “of their own accord”. Our lacrosse and leadership camp is designed to bring the young men that attend to start to understand that if they want something they need to be the ones that go get it. Not only will the student-athletes get the best in lacrosse fundamentals and IQ, we will be doing classroom sessions and outdoor activities on leadership, teamwork and understanding if you want something in life you need to work for it. This camp is designed for highly motivated individuals to get better not only at lacrosse, but in their everyday lives as well. This year the camp is adding a ropes and obstacle “confidence and leadership” course. This will help the campers conquer fears and put their leadership ability to the test! The Campers of the week will receive a custom, one of a kind, cascade S (4 player will earn this award).
The use of New Hampton School's newly renovated $8M dollar rink will enhance and make our box sessions one of a kind. The camp is going to include more instruction on the field as well as in the box.

Overnight/Day Camp designed to push even the best lacrosse players in our region on and off the field, both from a mental and physical perspective. The real focus is teaching leadership and internal drive to rely on themselves to go get something when they want it. The players will understand the roles of any team and have life lessons that will translate to the classroom, on the field, and later in life when they join the workforce. We will conduct question and answer panels with our staff to give players an understanding of what it truly takes to make it at the higher levels, both academic and athletically. There are over 800,000 varsity student athletes that play at the varsity level in the United States, that number decreases to roughly130,000 varsity athletes at the D1, D2 and D3 levels. Does your player have the understanding of what it truly takes to be the best at whatever they want to do? Our camp is designed to help them understand what being the best means and once they get there, that is only the start. The rest is up to them. This knowledge is one of the greatest gifts you can bless your players with. WE know there are other options when looking at Summer camps, we are providing feedback and honest assessments to the players that come to camp, it is truly a special experience and we hope to see all our returning campers and a ton of new faces!

Recent Colleges graduated or attnding: Notre Dame, Umass Amherst, Johns Hopkins, Merrimack College, Lasall College and many other local and national programs will be on staff working with the players.

If you have an older child that would like to try lacrosse for the 1st time, please reach out to us. Because we want to make trying lacrosse an easy and fun activity, the program we will be using for Learn to Play is a soft lacrosse program, so unlike regular boys and girls lacrosse, helmets, padding, and goggles are not required to play. All the kids need is the stick included with the registration fee, and a desire to try out lacrosse and have fun.
We are also looking for any Mom or Dad's that are interested in coaching. We are also looking for Team Manager (Team Parent). Great way to get involved. Learn to play coaches will work along US Lacrosse Certified Coaches, but it is a great way to learn the game and get your US Lacrosse certification as your child progresses in the game. If you have a background as a past player/coach that is great also but not neccessary. If your interested in coaching, please reach out to either
